Huntington Rovers play in the York Leeper Hare Premier Division. They also have a Reserve Team that play in the 'Reserve A' League. The first team is managed by Matthew Ward and coached by ex-York City and Huddersfield legend Iain Dunn. The Reserve team is managed by Paul Fawcett, who is assisted by Willie McPhee. Matthew and Iain led Huntington to their first league title in 2006-2007. They then managed to retain their Champions status in 2007-2008. Unfortunately after a poor start to the season, the first team are back on track and look set to finish 3rd in the league after only 2 defeats in their final 14 games. The Reserve team has had an up and down season. Some games they can turn up and perform like a team who should be winning the division, other times they can have an off day. It has been Paul's first season in charge and he will certainly be looking to build a stronger squad for next year. As we approach the end of the season, pre season plans are already being put in place for next year.
